We’re overjoyed to be able to continue our curatorial efforts for the folks at Eyeland Prints, and this time, we’ve brought in George Caltsoudas and his animated style for a stunning rendition of Snow White. Matt’s print is a harmonious combination of one of his canonized characters, Skeleton Pajamas, and the Grateful Dead’s Dancing Bears! To us, Matt’s paintings have always had a musical quality, with creatures and critters dancing around each other in strange and wonderful scenes.

Joey did a great job paying respect to the band’s classic imagery, while adding his own unique spin on the skull. Joey’s second print, “Heady Skull”, is an explosive reimagining of the Dead’s lightning bolt skull icon. Joey’s rendition of the Dead icon features the Skeletal Sam in his well-known pose, all filtered through Joey’s gonzo art style. Joey’s first print, “Uncle Sam Wants You”, is an ode to one of the Grateful Dead’s team of mascots, the Uncle Sam Skeleton.
